Lacking or limitation of genetic variability is the major constraint in breeding of any crop including wheat. Yield and yield components in wheat are the main traits for which this limitation has reported. landraces/local varieties are very important source of genetic variability to improve the yield especially under stress condition. In the present study 202 land races were evaluated.The plant materials were sown in 2 rows of 2.5 m long in a nonreplicated trial. Two varieties, Sardary and Azar-2 were repeated after every 20 genotypes as the checks. Morphological evaluation in the field was carried out and traits such as days to heading, days to maturity, thousands kernel weight, and height were recorded. Among the genetypes, 59 lines were selected that will be used in breeding programs in the next cropping season.
