Adolescence is a very important and critical period because it is at this time that the basic question of individual is proposed about identity. The valuable assets of the society, youth, need guidance and strengthening of their potential forces and growth in the path of perfection, and maintaining the mental health and social adjustment and raising their level of awareness is the duty of the education practitioners of the society. Since this research intends to determine the relationship between the variables of irrational belief, identity and social adjustment, the research method is descriptive-correlational. The statistical population of this study consists of all second grade male and female high school students in District 3 of Isfahan in 2020. In this study, 200 girls and 200 boys were selected by cluster random sampling for this study. Bell's Social Adjustment Questionnaire, Identity Styles, Four-Factor Irrational Beliefs Questionnaire of Emadi and Motamedin were used. Regarding the research hypotheses, regression analysis, ANOVA was used in SPSS software. The results showed that all possible correlations between irrational beliefs and identity and its dimensions with social adjustment are significant and the results of regression analysis showed that about 17% of changes in social adjustment can be explained by information identity and irrational beliefs. About 12% of the changes in social adjustment can be explained by the factors of normative identity and irrational beliefs, and about 20% of the changes in social adjustment can be explained by the factors of avoidance identity and irrational beliefs.
