خلاصه مقاله:
In this study, a new corrosion and erosion model is used. Not much research has been done on cavitation erosion models so far and none of the models are fully capable of responding to any geometrical and flow conditions. This study is able to estimate eroded areas and erosion rates on walls exposed to cavitation. This model uses cavitation flow resolving information to predict the flow. To evaluate the validity of the numerical code and its ability to predict cavitation erosion, a standard laboratory nozzle is rotated with a ۹۰ degree rotation of numerical modeling and its results are compared with existing laboratory results (۱). Then the effect of flow parameters on erosion is investigated. With the increasing Reynolds number and the inlet flow rate to the nozzle, the concentration of erosion in one area generally decreases and occurs in a larger area. The erosion position on the walls also changes.
