cervical cancer is the second fatal and common cancer among female Iranian population. Growth and metastasis of the tumor depends on a various factors playing roles in angiogenesis. Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) is one the key factors contributing to angiogenesis. The study investigated the effects of rosuvastatin on VEGF genes expression in Hela cells. After culturing and preparing the cells, cells were treated with rosuvastatin in 5μM, 10μM, 25μM, 50μM, 100μM in new media. MTT tests and real time PCR were utilized to assay cells proliferation and gene expression, respectively. The results demonstrated that VEGF gene expression was inhibited whit higher concentration of rosuvastatin.
