خلاصه مقاله:
The utilization of Lithium ion batteries as the energy source of green vehicles has caused some tough challenges and has put the modern technology in an evolutionary corner. The batteries generate a significant amount of heat which can reduce the calendar life and cyclic life of the battery if it is not removed out of the battery pack. Moreover, in some severe cases, the hot environment caused by the heat generation can raise the temperature to the danger point, which is known as the thermal runaway and explosion. Automotive engineers have developed some systems whose roles are to remove the heat generated and to cool the battery down. Those systems are technically called battery thermal management systems (BTMS) and are categorized as active, passive and hybrid BTMSs. In the current investigation, a brief review about the active and passive BTMSs are discussed in detail and the advantages and disadvantages of them are illustrated in detail
