In this study, a solar-powered absorption cooling system was modeled using the TRNSYS software. The performance of the system was investigated using dynamic modeling under the weather conditions of Kerman, Iran. The annual average insolation for Kerman is ۵.۲-۵.۴ kWh/m۲/day in summer with the sunshine of ۱۰-۱۳ hours a day, which gives suitable conditions for solar-powered cooling system operation. TRNSYS software provides the possibility to simulate a complete solar air conditioning system integrated with a building. This study uses TRNSYS to model an absorption chiller operated by hot water from an evacuated tube collector. ۱۰۰ m۲ collector area is sufficient to maintain the temperature in an ۱۱۰۰ m۲ office building at or below ۲۵°C during the cooling season.
