خلاصه مقاله:
Background: Non-stress test is a common, non-invasive procedure and is the first step in evaluating fetal health. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of music on Non-stress test results in pregnant woman. Methods: This randomized clinical trial study was conducted in ۲۰۱۹ on ۱۶۰ nulliparous pregnant women with a gestational age of ۳۷-۴۰ weeks who referred to Fatemieh Hospital in Hamadan city of Iran. They were randomly assigned to be control and intervention in two groups of ۸۰ samples. Intervention was listening to non-verbal music for ۳۰ minutes. There was no intervention in control group. Data analysis was performed using SPSS, and independent tests of chi-square test and T-test and Mann-Whitney U. P<۰.۰۵ was considered significant.Findings: In the intervention group, the difference between the mean variables of fetal heartbeat acceleration, the number of reactive tests, the beat-to-beat variability in the intervention group were higher than the control group and these differences were significant (P<۰.۰۰۱). In the acceleration start time, time required for the test to become reactive in the intervention group was less than the control group, and this difference was significant (P<۰.۰۰۱).Conclusion: Music can improve the fetal heartbeat pattern. It increased the reactive non-stress test and it made the test reacted in less time.
