خلاصه مقاله:
In this study, adsorption and desorption equilibrium data of carbon dioxide on zeolite ۵A were measured using manometric method; and by the use of measured data a PSA and TSA CO۲ removal system for a confined space such as submarines were designed. experiments were performed in an adsorption system at temperatures ۳۰۳.۱۵, ۳۱۳.۱۵ and ۳۲۳.۱۵ºK and pressures ۱, ۳ and ۵ bar. The results showed that the adsorption capacity decreases with increase in temperature, as the pressure increases the adsorption equilibrium increases, most of the adsorbent capacity is saturated at pressure less than ۰.۵ bar, adsorption and desorption isotherms do not necessarily match, and the dimensions of the adsorption bed for PSA process is much less than what needed for TSA processes. In addition, bed dimensions was estimated for PSA and TSA processes for each failure time in pressures ۱, ۳ and ۵ bar. Results showed that increasing of failure time was linked with increase of bed dimensions, while increasing pressure led to reduction of bed dimensions.
