Introduction: Breast cancer is one of the most common cancer that incidence rate uniformly increases rapidly in the ۱۹۹۰s. In ۲۰۲۰, breast cancer has surpassed lung cancer as the most common cancer was identified in term of incidence. The present study was designed to determine incidence and mortality of breast cancer. Methods: The present study was a brief review study designed in ۲۰۲۱. The search was conducted in international and national databases, including Scientific Information Database (SID), PubMed and ISI (Web of Science). Articles that reported on breast cancer statistics around the world were reviewed. Summaries of articles published in congresses and conferences were excluded from the study. Initially, ۸ articles were finally evaluated. Results: A review of various studies show that based on Age−standardized (W) rate per ۱۰۰,۰۰۰ index it was found that in Australia with ۹۵.۵ per ۱۰۰,۰۰۰ had the highest incidence among all country. Western Europe, Northern America, Northern Europe and Southern Europe with ۹۰.۷, ۸۹.۴, ۸۶.۴ and ۷۹.۶ per۱۰۰,۰۰۰, respectively in the next rank. Breast cancer mortality rate in the Melanesia, Western Africa, Polynesia, Caribbean and Northern Africa ۲۷.۵, ۲۲.۳, ۱۹.۶,۱۸.۹ and ۱۸.۸ per ۱۰۰,۰۰۰, respectively. Conclusion: The most common incidence rate and mortality of breast cancer in Australia and Melanesia. Women can prevent breast cancer by reducing their body mass index and alcohol consumption as well as more physical activity. The WHO recommends organized, population-based mammography screening every ۲ years for women at average risk for breast cancer aged ۵۰ to ۶۹ years.
