خلاصه مقاله:
Bone densitometry is a method to calculate the mineral density of human bone to diagnose Osteoporosis and prevent bone fracture. This bone densitometry has different radiation techniques. Bone density measurement systems based on x-ray tubes have a special place in the medical field. In this proposal, two main techniques of density measurement, which are transmission and backscatter techniques, have been combined and a new device for the purpose of measuring the density of the bone was designed. This new method was simulated by MCNP۴C, and results show obvious benefits of innovative combined bone densitometry over the current bone density measurement method. The results of the combined method in comparison to the transmission method show that the new method has better linear characteristics.
