خلاصه مقاله:
Iran's energy mix is dominated by hydrocarbons. Petroleum derivatives such as natural gas, gasoline, and kerosene power traditional thermal power plants, which provide about ۹۸% of Iran's total energy demand. The remaining ۲% comes from a combination of hydropower, nuclear power, biofuels, and other renewable energy sources. Renewable energy, often referred to as clean energy, comes from natural sources or processes that are constantly replenished. Geothermal energy is the heat of the earth. The word geothermal comes from the Greek words geo (earth) and therme (heat). Geothermal energy is a renewable energy source because geothermal energy is continuously generated inside the earth. People use geothermal energy for bathing, heating buildings, and generating electricity. Scientists have discovered that the temperature of the earth's inner core is about ۱۰,۸۰۰ degrees Fahrenheit (°F), which is as hot as the surface of the sun. Temperatures in the mantle range from about ۳۹۲°F at the upper boundary with the earth's crust to approximately ۷,۲۳۰°F at the mantle-core boundary.Wind turbines operate on a simple principle. Instead of using electricity to generate wind, like a fan, wind turbines use the wind to generate electricity. The wind rotates blades like the propellers of a turbine around a rotor, driving a generator to generate electricity. Wind turbines use the aerodynamic force of blades that act like airplane wings or helicopter blades to convert wind energy into electricity. As the wind blows across the blade, the air pressure on one side of the blade drops. The difference in air pressure on both sides of the blade produces both lift and drag. Lift is stronger than drag, which causes the rotor to rotate.
