Today, magnetic nanocomposites based on hydrogels has opened a new window to advanced and greentechnology in order to help the environment due to their amazing properties in separation science and technology.Therefore, in this study, a magnetic nanocomposite based on gelatin-chitosan hydrogel combined with ZnCr۲O۴ metaloxide nanoparticles as a green absorber (GE-CS hydrogel/ZnCr۲O۴/Fe۳O۴) was introduced. This nanocomposite ischaracterized and evaluated as a strong adsorbent in the absorption process of methylene blue pigment, which inoptimal conditions, the highest efficiency adsorption reported for methylene blue was ۹۹.۱۶%.
