This paper describes the construction of a carbon paste electrode (CPE) impregnated with nanoparticles of Zn and Ni phthalocyanine (nanoZnPc and nanoNiPc ). The new electrodes revealed interesting electrocatalytic behaviour towards hydrogen evolution reaction ( HER) .Voltammetric characteristics indicated that the proposed electrode display better electrocatalytic activity compared to the correspondinging bulky modified phtalocyanines (MPcs) in minimizing overpotential and increasing current density.
