The present research aimed to assess the high school English textbooks of Iran and Indonesia which are respectively Vision and Bahasa Inggris series. The study will be considering cultural content and cultural elements. For this purpose, both textbooks were examined in light of Cortazzi and Jin's (۱۹۹۹) structure. The research suggests ELT educational planning strategies in both countries and can make EFL educators acquainted with significance of studies on culture within the language education setting.
