Anaerobic digestion (AD) is a pivotal process addressing the challenges of organic waste disposal and renewable energy generation. This paper highlights the significance of AD in mitigating environmental concerns posed by organic waste and emphasizes its role in biogas production. As global climate awareness grows, the demand for biogas escalates, evident in the proliferation of biogas plants. Models, such as Anaerobic Digestion Model number ۱ (ADM۱), aid in understanding and optimizing AD. However, complex models like ADM۱ necessitate computational resources and commercial software. We introduce "PyADM۱-R۲," a Python-based implementation of the simplified ADM۱-R۲ model. Python's popularity and scientific libraries make PyADM۱-R۲ accessible to an exhaustive researcher and engineer base. This tool bridges the gap between complex and simplified models, contributing to waste management, renewable energy research, and sustainable practices
