This paper aims to investigate the effect of Virtual Reality (VR) and Mixed Reality (MR) in architecture industry through building information modeling (BIM). This is carried out by identifying the VR and MR software, offering a detailed comparison of their functionalities. The study focuses on adapting the already-existing methods and tools in architecture for both VR and MR environments under supportable architectural design domain. By elucidating the similarities and differences in the operation of VR and MR software, aiding in making informed decisions regarding these technologies. As a result, VR enables the users to modify, edit, and transform digital elements in a responsive way and is superior for simulation applications.While, MR brings new advancements and challenges to human, computer, and environment interactions which is more functional tool.
