One of the devices used in the food processing industries is Spinning Cone Column (SCC) which is a gas-liquidcontacting device. In this research, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) is performed for simulating SCC fromwhich two fixed cones and one spinning cone are considered. This paper includes presenting the results ofHydrodynamic Parameters, including dry and two-phase pressure drops and flooding predictions in a pilot scale SCC.The standard k-ε model and the zero equation model are conducted for expressing turbulence in gas and liquid phasesrespectively. Equations are surveyed at ۲۵ C, the Grace model is carried out for Drag force simulation, and modelsolving procedure is on Steady-State basis. In CFD simulation, modeling on Eulerian view is considered as two phasesof continuous gas and dispersed liquid. Calculations are utilized for dry and two-phase models at rotating speed of۱۰۰۰ rpm. For predicting flooding points, the dimensionless number LG Fr is used, when it is equal to۱ or more,flooding is occurred in the column. This simulation results can be employed for predicting the industrial applicationsof SCC.
