Meeting with home (final project thesis)

This article represents a condensed version of my thesis, focusing on the concept of home throughout various epochs and environments. The notion of home, serving as a sanctuary and refuge, has evolved alongside humanity, taking on diverse forms across time, from earthly dwellings to subterranean shelters. Conceptually, a home embodies both the physical structure providing shelter and the deeply ingrained childhood imagery associated with its simplistic edifice with a pitched roof nestled within the protective embrace of four walls. Exploring the notion of creating educational spaces, this study delves into the intersection of art, culture, and education. It seeks to enrich educational environments with cultural and artistic elements through meticulous research and creative endeavors. Initially, the concept of "home" is dissected into two distinct realms: the familiar above-ground abode resembling modern domiciles, and the lesser-explored "underground" realm reminiscent of subterranean shelters utilized in times of peril. Our perception of this shelter varies, whether viewed as a refuge from external threats or as the primal source of childhood memories, shaped by our perspectives and experiences.
