This paper proposes an improved MPWM1 control method for three phase current fed Z-source inverter, which can obtain maximum current gain at any given modulation indexwithout producing any low-frequency ripple and reducing switching stress.The presented method improves the two traditional control methods of the current fed z-sourceinverter,simple boost and maximum boost control. The relationships of current gain to modulation index and switchcurrent stress in the two traditional method and the presented method are analyzed in detail.Then the presented control method is verified by simulation in PSIM software
