خلاصه مقاله:
In this research, the viability of using waste glass in the form of powder as filler in asphalt concrete has been evaluated. The primary natural aggregate filler, as control, has been replaced in different percentages (25, 50, 75 and 100%), with the recycled glass powder, and the mixtures have been evaluated in terms of, Marshal Stability, flow, indirect tensile strength, moisture damage and volumetric characteristics. The results show that, the Marshal Stability decreases with increasing the glass powder content in the mixture, and the flow of the mixtures containing glass powder is lower than the control mixture, with the lowest for the mixture containing 25% of glass powder. Except for 100% of replacement, replacing the natural filler with glass powder, results in a higher Marshal quotient, indicating a better strength against deformation. Also, the results show that, the indirect tensile strength of the mixture containing 25% of glass powder is higher than the control mixture, and that of the mixtures with higher glass powder content is less than the control mixture. It is also found that the mixtures containing 25 and 50% of glass powder is more resistant against moisture damage than the control mixture. It is also found that, the air voids content, and the voids in mineral aggregates increases with increasing the glass powder content
