In this research, the effect of immersion times (30, 60 and 90s) and pH values(2,4 and 6) of Zr-based conversion solution on anti-corrosion performance of AA6061 treated sampleswas studied. Potentiodynamic polarization was used for corrosion current density evaluations.The conversion coating which formed in the condition of 100s immersion in conversion solution with 0.01M H2ZrF6 acidconcentrationat pH=4 revealed the best anti-corrosion performance. FE-SEM image along withEDS spectra of mentioned sample showed that conversion coating widely precipitated around the intermetallic particles.
