خلاصه مقاله:
A kinetic study of the low temperature (up to 300 ◦C) water–gas shift (WGS) reaction over a Pt/CeO2-Al2O3 catalyst has been carried out. Twotypeof rate expressions (Langm ir–Hinshelwood and Elay- Rideal) based on possible reaction sets, originated from the associative and directoxidation mechanisms, were derived. Six models were used to fit the experimental data over a wide range of reaction condition.WGS rate expressions based on the carbonate associative mechanism were found to provide an improved description for WGS kinetic data.It was proposed that the kineticscould be explained based on the carbonate associative mechanism with H 2 O * + O * ↔ 2 OH * as the rate-determining step.
