Polyester fabric is commonly used in different industries including automotive industry as a seat cover. In order to create liquid repellency properties on the polyester seat cover fabric, different chemicals can be used. In this work, oil and water repellent seat cover polyester fabric was produced by using fluorochemicaland Sio2 nanoparticles. The optimum value of fluorochemical was investigated and the result indicated that the concentration of 60 g/L of fluorochemical can be used as optimum value for the experiment. The performance of repellent finisheswas evaluated by using different methods including the 3M water/oil repellency test, contact angle, bending length,abrasion fastness, FTIR spectra and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). Results of the treated fabric tests have shown lower surface energy and great repellency in comparison with untreated fabric. Water repellency of abraded samples was shown that liquid repellency of these treated fabrics significantly influenced by abrasion
