In this paper, a numerical method consists of aninverse parabolic problem using noisy data is presented. A sensorlocated at a point inside the body is used and u(x, t) at a pointx = a, where 0 < a < 1 is measured and this method is appliedto the inverse problem. Results show that an excellent estimationon the unknown function of the inverse problem can be obtainedwithin a couple of minutes CPU time at Pentium IV-2.53 GHzPC.
