خلاصه مقاله:
The selective oxidation of alcohols to their corresponding carbonyl compounds is one of the most challenging organic reactions. In this study, a nanomesoporous metal-organic framework Cu2(BDC)2DABCO was used as an efficient catalyst for selective oxidation of primary benzyl alcohols. The oxidant employed in this study is tert-butyl hydroperoxide (TBHP) and microwave irradiation was applied to accomplish the transformation. Reaction progress was followed by Gas Chromatography. The advantages of this method compared to traditional ones are short reaction time, solvent free condition and selective oxidation to aldehyde compounds without any by-product.
