خلاصه مقاله:
Analysis and design of structures based on statistical and reliability methods have beenutilized by many researchers. Exisiting of random parameters on demands andcapacities of structrual elements, will lead to the unsafe or even uneconomic designs.This paper investigates the effect of uncertainties on the steel beams according toextreme conditions of the steel beams. Therfore, the limit state function is well definedand then random parameters of loads and resistances have been extracted. The limitstate function is defined in MATLAB based program using Monte Carlo simulationtechnique. To ensure the accuracy of the results, higher cycles of Monte Carlosimulation in calculation of safety index have been used. Finally, the safety factor ofexisting code (Iranin ABA code) has been evaluated and the advantages of the methodhas been discussed.
