خلاصه مقاله:
The essential oil of the aerial parts of stachys setifera (Lamiaceae) was isolated by hydro-distillation. The chemical composition of volatile oil was analyzed by capillary GC and GC/MS. The main components were found to be: caryophyllene oxide(14.47%), piperitenone oxide(10.14%), 2-pentandecanone(7.89%), linalool(7.19%). The antioxidant property of methanolic extract of the plant was determined using the 1,1- diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) assay. The result indicated the free radical scavenging activity of MeOH extract (IC50=269 μg/ml). The phenolic content of methanol extract was high (52.5 ± 3.1 mg/l) as measured by gallic acid test and
