خلاصه مقاله:
Soils have a significant role in site quality, hence the purpose of this research was to test the correlation of soil texture (percentage of soil particles) with percentage of soil organic carbon within forest. The study area is located in the district one of Darabkola forest. The sampling season was spring of 2014 Correlations of soil texture and soil organic carbon were studied adjucent to stream crossing in Darabkola forest. At each sampling station, three soil samples were collected along each transect. After coding, the soil samples were sent to labratory. Data collected were subjected to correlation and regression analysis using Pearson correlation abd linear regression to test whether percentage of soil organic carbon and percentage of soil particles had any significant relatioship. The results showed that there were significant correlations between soil texture and soil organic carbon; and only sand and soil organic carbon have positive correlations. Statistical analysis using linear regression indicated that there was significant lineear regression between percentage of clay, sand, loam and soil organic carbon(Sig=0.000 and α=0.05). soil organic crbon are as a function of soil texture. Our results suggest that soil organic carbon is association with silt and loam percentage. However, the results of this study suggest that current assumptions about soil textural control on soil organic carbon need to be reevaluated.
