Background: The most important issues surrounding the talent identification is determining the contribution of each factors such as physical, physiological, mental, skill,social and mobility to be successful in a particular sport. The purpose of this research is to develop important indicators of talent identification based on a survey of elite womencoaches. Materials and Methods: The research was descriptive-survey. In the favor of this purposea questionnaire consisting of anthropometric indicators, momentum indicators, skill and psychological indicators developed and was answered by 27 super league and league coachesof Volleyball of Iran during the period 2012-2013. Descriptive statistics were used for data analysis. Results and Discussions: The results of study showed that the most important indicator in the procedure of choosing talent from coaches’ perspective was anthropometric indicators andthe least important factor was motor indicators. Furthermore anthropometric indicators (body length and height), skill indicators (service and sback), mobility indicators (jump and speed response) and psychological (stress tolerance, leadership and cooperation) were the mainpriorities in each indicators. Conclusion: In this research four scope of anthropometric characteristics, skills, andphysical-motor and psychological had been surveyed from elite coaches of selected women teams and from selected volleyball club coaches of country it can be used in the formulationand implementation of country talent identification process and also the conducted study can be used for better recognizing of talented players.
