خلاصه مقاله:
On August 18, 2014, a shallow destructive earthquake with moment magnitudes of 6.2 occurred in Mormori, in Ilam province, southwestern Iran. In this study, the Empirical Green Function (EGF) method was applied for strong ground motion simulation to estimate source parameters and rupture characteristics of the earthquake. To simulate the main shock one of the prominently recorded aftershocks with magnitude of 5.4 was used as the empirical Green function. The size of the main fault is about 12km in strike direction and 9km in dip direction. The earthquake depth was estimated to be about 5km. The duration of the rupture was more than 6s. The estimated fault plane solution shows reverse mechanism with a minor strike-slip component for the main event. Strike, dip and rake of causative fault of the earthquake were determined as 108, 68 and 74 degrees, respectively. In addition, the stress drop in the main event was calculated to be about 9 bar.
