خلاصه مقاله:
This paper outlines the application of mathematical models for evaluation of leuprolide acetate release profile from PLGA-based in situ forming system which undergoes γ-irradiation at 8 kGy dose. PLGA-based in situ forming systems were prepared by injecting some specific amount of irradiated solution of PLGA /drug and NMP into a buffer phosphate pH 7.4 at 37 ºC. The effects of γ-ray on drug release profiles viewpoint of mathematical theory were evaluated. Hence, the experimental results of drug release approximated two commonly-used semi-empirical models: Korsmeyer-Peppas and Gallagher-Corrigan equations. The R2 values show that only Gallagher-Corrigan model is suitable for describing leuprolide acetate release from PLGAbased in situ forming system.
