Organic- Inorganic hybrid materials were prepared using a long oil linseed alkyd resin as organic phase and a mixture of Zirconium n-propoxide (Zip) and Titanium iso-propoxide (Tip) as the inorganic phase. By varying the concentration of the precursors and the alkyd resin, gel times were measured. It was shown that by increasing the proportion of the alkyd resin between 10 wt. % and 30 wt. % the gel times decreased. However by increasing the concentration of the precursor between 5 wt. % and 25 wt. % at a constant concentration of alkyd resin, gel times increased
