خلاصه مقاله:
Silver (II) generated electrochemically as mediator ion for oxidizing polybutadiene (PB) in mediated electrochemical oxidation (MEO). Silver(II) reduced to silver(I) after oxidizing PB surface. It can be observed that silver(II) reduction can be divided into two regions By monitoring silver(II) concentration. In the first region where the concentration of silver(II) decreased quickly (< 300 sec) while PB oxidation was fast. However, in the second region, the silver(II) concentration reduced slowly so that a plateau was observed from 300 to 1200 sec. Also, the PB content was found to have a negligible impact on the final amount of reduced silver(II) during oxidation of PB surface. Finally, silver(II)/silver(I) conversion at the presence of BR was limited to 35%.
