One of the simplest methods that is demonstrates growing of silver nanoparticles on the surface of cellulose nanofibers, is preparation based on photo-activation by ultraviolet (UV) photons. This method is followed by chemical reduction of silver nitrate. In this study, cellulosic nanofibers were produced by electrospinning of cellulose acetate (CA) and Ag ions were loaded on the surface of the deacetylated cellulose acetate nanofibers using UV irradiation. The change in structure of nanofibers during deacetylation was evaluated by FTIR and SEM analysis. The distribution of silver nanoparticles on the surface was observed by EDAX mapping
