خلاصه مقاله:
In the present research program, polymer nanocomposites have been used as the drug carrier for delivery systems of antibacterial drug. Chitosan (Cs) and Polyvinyl Alcohol (PVA) with different ratios were blended with different wt% of Nanoclay solution by solvent casting method. Structure characterization of nanocomposites were investigated by fourier transmission infra red spectroscopy (FTIR), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and X-ray differaction (XRD). Ciprofloxacin hydrochloride was selected as the model drug and the in-vitro release in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) was studied. Home-made unjaceted Franz diffusion cell was used for in vitro study. This cell were composed of two compartments, donor (exposed to ambient conditions), and receptor (including buffer solution maintained at 37oC). An ultraviolet spectrometer at 277 nm was used to measure release rates of obtained membranes. The results of controlled release tests showed that the amount of ciprofloxacin hydrochloride released increased with an increase in the proportion of PVA and decreased as the amount of nanoclay in the film increased.
