In this investigation, the solution blending of segmented polyurethane based on polycaprolactone diol (PU-PCLdiol) and poly(ε-caprolactone) (PCL) using dimethylacetamide solvent was done. The miscibility of the PU/PCL blend at weight ratio of 80/20 has been characterized with scanning electron microscopy (SEM). SEM micrographs showed this blend is completely miscible. Miscibility of PU-PCL blend is due to the attractive interaction through hydrogen bonding. The dynamic rheological properties of blend, using parallel plate rheometer, were experimentally examined and theoretically analyzed using Palierne model. The Experimental results showed good fitting with the Palierne equation.
