خلاصه مقاله:
In this study, the phytotoxicity of two nanoparticles (NPs), silicon dioxide (SiO2) and chitosan with concentrations 0 (control), 30, 60 and 90 ppm was assessed on wheat plants. For starting the experiment, the wheat seeds were separately were placed in petri dishes. Then 5 mL of the concentrations of both NPs were added to them. Results showed that the treated seeds with different concentration of NPs showed significant effects on some germination parameters. Also, use of both NPs, had significant effects on seedling and root length as well as seedling, shoot and root fresh weight. In most traits, the best concentration of NPs was 30 ppm. Applications of both NPs, in 90 ppm, displayed adverse effects on majority of the studied traits. So, selectivity in using of NPs in suitable type and concentration is essential.
