خلاصه مقاله:
Nanoparticle delivery systems are nanometeric carriers used to deliver biomolecules. Nanoparticles can entrap biomolecules into their interior structures and/or absorb biomolecules onto their exterior surfaces. The use of colloidal carriers made of hydrophilic polysaccharides, i.e. chitosan, has arisen as a promising alternative for improving the transport of bioactive macromolecules across biological surfaces. Natural polysaccharides, due to their outstanding merits, have received more and more attention to form colloidal particles and entrap bioactive Molecules. This review relates to the newest developments in the preparation of polysaccharides-based nanoparticles in the form of colloidal structures including Covalent crosslinking, ionic crosslinking, polyelectrolyte complexation and self-assembly of hydrophobically modified polysaccharides and analyzes the evidence of their efficacy in improving the transport.
