خلاصه مقاله:
Topology optimization of structures, seeking the best distribution of mass in the design space to improve theperformance and weight of a structure, is one of the most comprehensive issues structural optimization field. Inaddition to the structure stiffness as the most common objective function, frequency optimization is of great importancein automotive and aerospace industries in order to avoid the resonance of the structure achieved by e.g. maximizing thefundamental frequency. In this paper, Bidirectional Evolutionary Structural Optimization (BESO) method as asuccessful approach in stiffness problems is modified (MBESO). The proposed MBESO is applied for modeling a 2Dbeam frequency optimization via creating a software package including a Matlab code and Abaqus FE solver linked toeach other. Also, in this method for the first time the geometric symmetry constraint is considered as an effective factorin convergence of the objective function for symmetric problems, and finally the optimization results for new structurewill be compared with initial structure.
