خلاصه مقاله:
In this study thermal and electrical contact conductance (TCC and ECC) between AZ61 Mg alloy sheets havebeen measured and calculated to use in a structural-thermal-electrical finite element (FE) model in order to predictdistribution of residual stresses in resistance spot weld (RSW). The thermal and electrical contact conductances havebeen considered in FE model in 3 different types: constant, linear and temperature dependent to investigate the effectsof these parameters on accuracy of the FE model. The results show that ECC has significant effect in nuggetenlargement and distribution of residual stresses but TCC has a little effect. Therefore, the ECC should be assumed tobe temperature dependent, whereas TCC can be considered as constant.
