خلاصه مقاله:
In this study, a strain-rate dependent micromechanical constitutive model has been presented to predict the dynamicbehavior of composite laminates. First, strain rate dependent mechanical behavior of neat polymers was characterized by a dynamicconstitutive model. By combining this model and the bridging matrix method, a dynamic micromechanical constitutive model forpredicting mechanical behavior of unidirectional composites was developed. Then, using a dynamic progressive model for fiberreinforcedcomposites, mechanical properties of composite laminates were predicted at different strain rates. In order to validate thepresent model, predicted results were compared with available experimental data. It was shown that the present constitutive modelwas able to predict the dynamic mechanical properties of composite laminates with an acceptable accuracy.
