One of the best statistical distributions in lifetime modeling mechanical systems is Weibull distribution. Because the Weibull distribution can also model hazard functions that are decreasing, increasing or constant, allowing it to describe any phase of an item’s lifetime. In this paper, a generalized model of Weibull probability distribution for modeling type I censored data is appllied. In addition, it has been shown that the proposed model by considering the type I censoring is better than the other generalization of weibull distribution for modeling mechanical data. The estimation of parameters by maximum likelihood is discussed.
