خلاصه مقاله:
Recent advances in composite materials and smart materials provide the morphing wings development. in this article the mechanical properties of an anisotropic composite structure investigated for using in morphing wings. the structure in order to deal with the aerodynamic loads, has great stiffness in transverse direction in comparison withlongitudinal direction. At the same time it has the flexibility needed for large deformation in longitudinal direction. In addition to mentioned characteristic, that is also same in some other morphing structures, this structure in the longitudinal direction has different bending strength in positive and negative loading of same direction. Evaluating ofmechanical properties of the structure shows that by changing the geometry, it can be optimally designed for different bending strength
