خلاصه مقاله:
In this research, numerical investigation is performed to study the low velocity impact response of GLAss REinforce (GLARE) aluminum laminate impacted by different projectiles. Two impactor types, blunt and hemispherical are considered as projectiles to study the projectile nose effect. The simulation process has been accomplished using nonlinear explicit finite element software, LS-DYNA. The finite element simulation has been accomplished to investigate impact characteristics such as contact force history and damage mechanisms of laminate. The numerical results are verified by experimental results published in the open literature
