خلاصه مقاله:
Reconstruction of accidents is currently considered as a useful means in the analysis of accidents. By multibody dynamics and numerical methods, and by adopting vehicle and pedestrian models, the scenario of the crash can often be simulated. The safety of vehicles has been studied in the past on the basis of the safety of passengers. Recently, pedestrian safety has also attracted attention. According to World Health Organization (WHO) report on road accident fatalities in 2018, pedestrians account for 23% of road deaths globally and specifically 22% in Iran, 15% in Germany and 15% in the USA, thus pedestrian safety in road accidents is nowadays of high importance, that will be mandatory for vehicles in upcoming years. In this paper, pedestrian safety is discussed and a simulation method is proposed. While reconstructing the collisions, questions often arise regarding the evaluation of simulation results, so this paper aims to evaluate simulation results against experimental results. Simulation results show good correlation with experimental results reported in the literature.
