خلاصه مقاله:
Background: Aedes caspius Pallas species is known vector of arbo viral diseases in the world. Objectives: This study was done to determine it’s larval habitats and behavior to design of programs for mosquito controlMaterials and Methods: This study was carried out in Bandar Abbas area of Hormozgan Province, southrn parts of Iran in 2016. Mosquitoes were collected using standard dippers and pipettes. Alfa and beta indices as well as Heydemann classification were analyzed to compare dominancy and diversity. Results: four genera and Eleven species were identified comprises; Aedes caspius (6%), Ae.vexans (27.4), Anopheles dthali (1%), An fluviatilis (0.3%), An sergenti(1%), An.stephensi.(33%), Culex pipiens (25%), Cx. perexiguus (0.2%), Cx.sitiens (0.1%), Cx.theileri (5%), and Culiseta longiareolata (1%). Aedes caspius usually emerged after rainfall or increase of water level. Evaluation of dominance structure of this species showed that rangelands include various subdominant in slope, mountains, and plain areas. The cluster analysis based on Jaccard’s index indicated the relationship between the categories and indicates that Talsooro and Koveh are the closest categories in their specific composition. The range of temperature in the larval habitats was 19.6–22.5 °C. Significant difference were observed in the density of Aedes caspius in various topography areas, as well as rate of temperature among it’s larval habitat (P< 0.05).Conclusion: It is the first formal entomological research which defines the occurrence of Aedes flavescens in Ardabil Province, northeastern Iran. some ecological aspects of Aedes vexans in southern parts of Iran. Periodic interval collection using various adults sampling method could be still suggested.
