چکیده مقاله:

The thyratron switch is a sample of a gas-filled tube used in high voltage applications. The hydrogen thyratron is used as a power switch that tolerates high voltage and current in the linear accelerator modulator. The modulator in linear accelerators must be able to provide the energy required for microwave lamps at the appropriate times. The pulse forming network is responsible for storing energy needed at a suitable time and delivering the energy to the output load with the proper pulse specification, which is one of the most important components of the modulator. A thyristor equivalent circuit is used to apply the trigger pulses. The thyratron switch consists of three main parts anode, cathode, grid, which can be switched on and off by using a proper grid voltage. The most important elements of the pulse forming network are inductors and capacitors, and thyratron switch. In this paper, a Thyratron switch is described as the power element. By using PSPICE software, then we simulate the circuit of the Thyeartron switch generator in a pulse forming network. The output voltage and current pulses pulse forming network are respectively 11.2 kV and 410 A, respectively, with a pulse width of 5ʽs.
