چکیده مقاله:

On August 11, 2012, 12:23:16 GMT, earthquake with a magnitude of 6.5 occurred between the cities of Ahar and Varzaghan in East Azerbaijan province, northwest Iran. In this paper, the method of empirical Green s function was applied to find out the parameters of the fault caused by the first earthquake on August 11, 2012, Ahar-Varzaghan. By comparing the observed and simulated Fourier spectrum, it can be seen that the results are in good agreement at a frequency of 12, 2 to 25 Hz. This consistency reflects the correct selection of input parameters for the EGF simulation program. Maximum velocity, displacement and duration were calculated at three stations of Harris, Kaleybar and Khajeh. The rupture initiated at depth of 8 km and extended from northwest to southeast. The duration of rupture was 11.5 second. The strike, dip and rake of causative fault were determined as 263, 81 and -180 degrees, respectively
