Rangelands Assessment and recognition of variation in rangeland cover and yield variation are the most important effective factors for management planning and correct management. Information of rangeland assessment necessary for creating and updating database and advising range users and government agencies working in Tehran were determined. In each community one permanent site including six parallel, 200 meter transects was established. Canopy cover and yield assessed within 60 quadrates one square meter each. Canopy cover and yield related to precipitation in some sites. In sites that located in high elevations to cold climate have desirable condition in compare with low elevation sites with warmer the climate. The rangelands sites in lower elevation areas were dominated by Palatability of third class of rangeland plants.
