بررسی اصلاح ژنتیکی گردوی ایرانی به منظور افزایش تولید کمی و کیفی چوب

Different walnuts species in Iran and in the world are important in fruit and wood production. These are planted as multipurpose trees and are highly important from economic point of view. In order to generically breed Juglans regia, for wood production, it was tried to test in a project some walnut progenies. In the first stage, selection of 3 provenances named Kerman, Khansar and Karaj, were carried out. Total numbers of selected mother walnut trees were 46 and each gave fifty walnut seeds to produce seedlings in elborz station in Karadj. After one year taking care of seedlings, some total of 426 seedlings transferred to Chalky station in gorgan and planted using 3 replicated Completed Randomized Block Design. Tree growths (yearly), stem diameter, total height, Canopy diameter, diameter at 120cm.height, leafing and flowering time were recorded. Data showed that genotype KH 26 is the best within all seedling and genotype M18 was shown to be the worst genotype. There were no significant differences regarding mentioned characteristics between other genotypes. Keywords: walnuts, Juglans regia, wood production & selection of mother walnut trees.
